MoSS is this Season’s Hottest Shade of Green

The weather’s changing and there’s a little bite in the air. Most of us have pulled out the pea coats and scarves already but if you’re needing to add a few pieces to this season’s wardrobe for a fresh fall look, take a cue from the windy city. Chicago’s Museum of Sustainable Style (MoSS) kicked off this year’s fashion week by showcasing 25 eco-friendly, Chicago-based designers. The show displayed beautiful, edgy pieces using all organic, sustainable or reclaimed materials.

It was a first for Chicago to highlight eco-fashion with featured designers and collaborators like Annie Novotny of Frei Designs, Lara Miller, Alice Berry, Jane Palmer and Marianne Fairbanks of Noon Solar, Joshua Height of Brickermade and Michele Fitzpatrick of Verde Design Studio. But it was no surprise to learn of the exhibit’s trail-blazing curator, Jessa Brinkmeyer. As owner of Pivot Boutique, she staked a claim as a trailblazer opening one of Chicago’s first eco-fashion boutiques.

So if you find yourself in Chicago this season, stop on by to visit Jessa for a little help navigating this season’s trendy shade of green, MoSS.
