A Cold Plunge Pledge, TODAY!
Date: June 5, 2008 | Category: Events, Lifestyle
On June 5th, 2005, we San Franciscans hosted the festivities for World Environment Day. Today, we travel to the South Pacific where it’s New Zealand’s turn (Did you know New Zealand was one of the first countries to pledge to achieve carbon neutrality?). The United Nations Environment Programme established WED in 1972, and each year a different city hosts an international soiree aimed at stimulating awareness of the environment and enhancing political attention and public action. Though we can’t all be there, today is the perfect day to take some eco-action… make a pledge perhaps.
One of our favorite agents of clean, Seventh Generation, is urging
everyone to save energy and money by switching to cold water washing. Those
willing to make a simple online pledge to
switch from hot to cold will receive a free copy of Naturally
Clean, the Seventh Generation Guide to Safe and Healthy Non-Toxic Cleaning. In observance of WED, the ecofabulous team has taken the pledge - will you join us? Pledges can be made by
visiting the Get Out of Hot Water website.
