Many speculated if it would ever happen. We won’t lie; as the years dragged on, we too became naysayers (the concept was introduced in 2002). And though its been a long time coming, Volkswagen says their 1L Car (1 liter per 100 kilometers or 235 mpg!) will become a reality in 2010 - when it’s slated to hit the market. With obvious attention to aerodynamics and weight, coupled with a lithium ion battery, this electric phenomena will certainly go neck to neck with the Aptera we recently wrote about.
