Drinking to World Water Day

Today is a little know but incredibly important day - World Water Day. It was founded to acknowledge the fact that billions of people around the planet lack access to safe drinking water and/or proper sanitation. Not steeped in tradition yet (founded in 1992), there are many exciting ways to commemorate this day. You can make it a family tradition, like memorial day or veteran’s day. There are water walks all over the country on March 22nd and 24th or take a virtual walk and encourage others to do so. Take a bath or go swimming with your kids and talk about where water comes from… and where it goes. You can also set up your own Advocate page at www.worldwaterday.net to get friends and colleagues to join you/us. Catch the wave!
