Fits Like a Body Glove

If you've already made your first commitment to the sea by investing in a green surfboard (perhaps one of Ocean Green's BioFoam boards), you may want to round out your wave-riding, tree-hugging sport with an eco wetsuit. Body Glove proffers one of the most environmentally sound suits on the market. Through serious R&D and a lot of time devoted to it, a combo of non-petroleum based materials replace the neoprene used in standard wetsuits. The amazing materials landed upon are Eco-Flex (limestone derived) and Bio-Stretch (natural rubber). What culminates is the incredibly cool Body Glove Eco, boasting graphics printed with water-based ink (don't worry, the color isn't washing off in the waves) and zippers made from recycled plastic. Plus, it's far less energy intensive to produce. With all of this environmental focus, will the suit still fit you like a glove and keep you comfortable? Yes! This baby will rival any wetsuit with its Vaporlock seams and "interior floodgate" (for water seepage) and super flex kneepads for manuevarability. Plus any guy sporting one is certain to get extra points from the eco-chic set.

Patagonia and Matuse also make wetsuits out of the limestone-derived neoprene (I believe some are calling it geoprene). Apart from reducing petroleum use in the construction, they claim that the wetsuits are stretchier, and last longer, which also helps.
