Small Fish, Big Heart
Date: March 21, 2011 | Category: Art, Cards & Stationary, Lifestyle
In a sea of bleached white, mass produced greeting cards, we're constantly celebrating the smaller studios creating truly original, totally sustainable letterpress prints, stationary, invites and cards. Heartfish Press is one such studio. Aptly named, the small fish (with a big heart) letterpress company is based in Brooklyn, and makes everything by hand on 100% cotton paper (read: tree-free; cotton paper is made from textile waste) with soy-based inks. You might remember the "Live What You Love" print ($12.50) from the 2010 MODERN LIVING Showhouse at Dwell on Design. Between the fun houndstooth "I Miss You" cards and the beautiful series of alphabet greeting cards ($3-$5), we're tempted to buy our weight in letterpress goods. *Photo credit: heartfishpress.com; interior shot by ShootMyEvents.com
