Hung Up on Eco
Date: August 18, 2008 | Category: Food & Drink, Lifestyle, Media

When the ecofabulous team decides to go out for a beer, we try to keep it full-flavored, organic and from local producers. So, though the soon-to-be launched MillerCoors’ 64 calorie beer doesn’t appeal to our particular sensibilities, their latest marketing tool is creative indeed. Miller has partnered with EcoHanger to produce 100% recycled clothing hangers that are being introduced in Seattle and Portland dry cleaners to their female clientele (though we know a guy or two who would be charged about a low-cal beer). EcoHanger promises these hangers last longer than traditional metal ones in addition to using completely eco-friendly materials. Now you can crack a cold one while hanging up your sweaters.

I think this is absolutely fabulous. Every advertiser should put their advertising behind media that works so hard to help rid the earth of those metal hangers. Plus I’d keep this one in my closet like forever so it must be a smart way to advertise. Just wish I liked beer. JB
