One Good Chair Competition: Doing More with Less

“Doing more with less,” while “celebrating abundance,” that’s how One Good Chair 2010 describes the aim of sustainability. Ecofabulous’ own sustainable design guru and founder, Zem Joaquin, will be on the competition judges panel alongside green experts Summer Rayne Oakes, Kira Gould, Shashi Caan and Sarah Backhouse.The Elxe Chair by Pitt Berkemeyer & Georg Thesing
Judges will evaluate each chair design’s ability to solve problems like: How can shape optimize resources in design, fabrication, and shipping? What is the intersection of sustainability and sensuality? How can shape aid the body in the act of sitting?Broom Chair by Baita Design Studio
