Save a Snowman, Save the Earth
Date: December 7, 2007 | Category: Events, Lifestyle, Media
The other day when I was on KFOG, they talked about the Save a Snowman project from our holiday gift guide, and we think it’s worth expounding on for those who are into the gifts that keep on giving - but maybe in a less traditional manner. Yes, we can laugh as we peruse the various snow- men, women and children at the online orphanage and discover their stories, how their families melted and what their hopes and dreams are/were. But this lighthearted approach actually hits right at the heart of the matter. They’re a dying breed, these snowmen, and by adopting them, we work towards saving them from extinction. The adoptions finance projects aimed at checking global warming - and not just for the snowman’s survival. They’re currently working on Green Schools and Restore the Rainforest initiatives, focusing on empowering our youth. While you commit on a monthly basis, be warned; you may fall in love with your adoptee and never want to give them up. Maybe you’ve got a lonely environmentalist in the family; how about adopting them a snowman this year?
