The Epitome of “Green Collar”
Date: January 9, 2009 | Category: Lifestyle, Stores & Resources, Transport

The earth is long overdue for a tune-up. We’re so excited to see companies all over the globe take strides to clean up their act and make the planet a top priority in 2009, the year of the eco-ox. One example that we can’t stop talking about is Luscious Garage.
With plants hanging from the ceiling, a beautiful industrial-meets-Zen look is hardly the image most associated with auto mechanic shops. But Luscious Garage, a women-owned and operated, hybrid-specialist garage found in the heart of San Francisco, isn’t your average auto shop. From the paper-free online administration system (Hyspace), to the new installment of solar panels (LG aims to run on 100% renewable energy), the use of re-refined motor oil, and the commitment to recycling everything possible – fluids, metal, packaging, and parts, we literally thought we’d died and gone to eco-heaven when we stumbled upon this gem.
Thank you Luscious Garage for making the dirty work of car maintenance, well… not so dirty after all.
