Wash Away Your Eco-Guilt

If you’re washing your car in the driveway you’re probably using between 80 & 140 gallons of water, and if you’re going through a carwash 50 & 85 gallons (see, I’m not just being lazy!). Either way, that’s a lot of water when you could be using none. Eco Touch waterless car wash & polish would be an eco-friendlier option just from the stance that it conserves this precious commodity, but there’s a little more to this tale. Carwash runoff goes untreated, likely containing any number of harmful ingredients - such as oils, detergents and brake dust - that can contaminate waterways and affect aquatic life (not to mention, be in violation of the Clean Water Act). So eliminating the water, does away with the runoff. Also, unlike conventional cleaners, Eco Touch uses no petroleum, silicone, or kerosene in its formula and is non-toxic and biodegradable. As long as you haven’t returned from an off-road adventure, it’s not only the way to go for the planet, but it sure seems a whole lot less labor intensive or inexpensive (depending upon your usual mode of maintenance) to me. Just spray and wipe… and don’t forget to recycle the number 2 plastic when you’ve squirted your last dose.
