I am thrilled to announce that September marks my first month as contributing green editor for House and Garden. I have poured over the pages for years, gaining design inspiration and longing for more eco-friendly options. I was elated to discover that House and Garden, with smart style maven Dominique Browning at the helm, has consistently embraced eco-design with open arms. Unlike many other mags that are greening their glossy pages simply because it is finally hip to do so, H+G has quietly been making strides toward sustainability for many years. H+G headquarters are LEED certified and Cradle to Cradle is required reading. I am  honored to contribute alongside two other leading environmentalists, Laurie David (stopglobalwarming.org) and Graham Hill (treehugger). This is not a single issue phenomenon. The Eco Chic section will be a regular feature, making House and Garden truly "evergreen."
